In-Home Consultation & Inspection
We start at your kitchen table. We assess the cabinet material and current finish, discuss color and sheen, check doors and boxes for any repairs, and give you a clear written estimate and timeline — no pressure, no surprises.
Protect the Space
Prep phase. Before anything else, we mask and cover. Floors, countertops, backsplashes, appliances, and adjacent rooms are protected with plastic and paper, and we set up containment so dust and overspray stay off your home.
Remove Doors, Drawers & Hardware
Prep phase. Every door and drawer front comes off and is labeled so it returns to the exact same spot. Hinges, pulls, and knobs are removed and bagged. Doors are finished off-site or in a dedicated spray station so both sides get an even, drip-free coat.
Clean & Degrease
Prep phase. Kitchen cabinets carry years of grease, oils, and cooking residue that paint will never stick to. We degrease every surface thoroughly — this single step is the most common reason cheap cabinet jobs peel, and the one we never skip.
Sand, Scuff & De-Gloss
Prep phase. We hand-sand and scuff every surface to break the factory sheen and give the primer a mechanical grip. Then we vacuum and tack-wipe away all dust so nothing telegraphs through the finish.
Fill, Repair & Caulk
Prep phase. Dings, grain, worn edges, and open seams are filled, sanded smooth, and caulked where needed. This is where a refinished cabinet starts to look better than the day it was installed.
Bonding Primer
We spray a high-adhesion bonding primer engineered for slick cabinet surfaces, then sand it smooth. Primer is what locks the finish to the cabinet — get this right and the topcoat has a foundation that lasts.
Spray the Finish Coats
We spray multiple thin coats of a premium, cabinet-grade enamel (Sherwin-Williams), sanding lightly between coats. Spraying — not brushing — is what delivers that smooth, hard, factory-like surface with no brush marks.
Cure, Reinstall & Final Walk-Through
We let the finish cure to a hard, washable surface, then rehang every door and drawer, reinstall hardware, and adjust for a clean, even reveal. We walk the finished kitchen with you and don’t leave until you love it.

How long does cabinet refinishing take?
Most kitchens take about 3 to 5 working days from prep to reinstall, depending on the number of doors and the scope of any repairs. We give you a firm timeline with your estimate, and your kitchen stays usable through most of the project.
Will the finish really hold up in a kitchen?
Yes. Because we degrease, sand, and bond-prime before spraying a cabinet-grade enamel, the finish cures to a hard, washable surface built for daily kitchen use. Proper prep is exactly what separates a finish that lasts from one that chips within a year.
Do I have to empty my cabinets?
We ask that you empty the cabinet boxes and clear the countertops so we can work cleanly and protect your belongings. We handle all the masking and protection of the surrounding space.
Can you change my cabinet color?
Absolutely — a refinish is the perfect time to update. Whether you want a classic white, a bold navy, or a warm neutral, we will help you choose a color and sheen that suits your kitchen and your home.
Do you take the doors off, or paint them in place?
We remove every door and drawer front and label them, then finish them in a controlled spray setup so both sides get a smooth, even coat. Boxes and frames are sprayed in place with full masking. Painting doors on their hinges is a shortcut we don’t take.
